Over the past few months, I have been so fortunate to be hosted by some amazing people. Below are three recent interviews that cover my work, writing diverse lit, and me as an author!
Jade Times: Sister Spotlight Twinjas Book Reviews: Annual Diversity Month Diverse YA Now that Sun Kissed is officially published in paperback, I do have some goals regarding expanding my reader fan base beyond Wattpad.
1. Create a Youtube channel.
2. Blog and Tweet more.
3. Set up some Giveaways!
4. Make a Book Trailer
Okay, that's all I have. Well, I do have other goals, but the ones listed are the important ones related to online marketing. Let me know if you have any questions or just want to say hi in the comments below. Later, - Coco Well, I had to temporarily remove Sun Kissed from the paperback option because to be honest, there were still some issues with formatting that I could not ignore. So I went back and fixed several things like the spacing, the cover, as well as a few pesky typos.
Don't worry, Sun Kissed will be back on Amazon in a few weeks. The Kindle/ebook version, however, is still available. Question for you all: Is anyone participating in NanoWrimo? And if so, how is it going so far? I've got one chapter completed (refuse to keep track of my word count). Got any other questions for me about my books, me, or writing in general? Leave them in the comments below or tweet them to me @literallycoco After a year of indie publishing, I finally got off my butt and made Sun Kissed (my first novel) available to purchase as a physical copy! The cover is still not where I want it to be, but I can't sit around and wait for an artist to fall into my lap when I literally have people asking for copies of the book. Gotta give the peeps what they want. So if you are a fan of Sun Kissed, the paperback copy should be up on Amazon in about 3-5 days. I will be making a bigger announcement for that. As much as I have obsessed over the editing, there will probably still be some issues with it. (Like I literally just found an unwelcome comma immediately after I pressed the "confirm" button). But everything will be alright. It'll get fixed eventually..... Okay, well anyway, I'm super excited. If you know any artists who do book covers, let me know! It's the first day of November and I can't sit still. This morning I decided that it was about damn time I get Sun Kissed, my debut novel, available for print. So I tortured myself all morning with fine editing, margin minutiae, and whatever else it needed. Dozens of proofs later and it was finally complete. Now all I have to do is wait for its arrival in the mail. (Relieved sigh).
I also decided to be ambitious and submit Sun Kissed to an award contest for the We Need Diverse Books Campaign. The winners are announced in March. If Sun Kissed miraculously gets first place, I get a shiny gold icon on my book. (Fingers crossed.) They also promised to purchase thousands of copies for local schools and libraries. As for NanoWrimo, I'm not sure if I'm going to take it seriously. What will probably happen is this: me tweeting and posting on wattpad about how stressful Nano is, but in real life I'll write as often as I usually do. If I'm lucky, I might be able to write one chapter this month. Later, Coco |
